Spokane Valley app reaching out to local businesses | Business
Did you know the city of Spokane Valley has an app? It features shopping, eating, hotels and recreation at just the touch of a button and tap into your phone's GPS to let you know what's closest to you.
This summer city staff are working to make the app even better – reaching out to local businesses to help upload their information onto Google My Business, which then makes it accessible on the app.
In addition to business names and locations, users can take a look at detailed information, reviews and driving directions. General information about Spokane Valley and public events and activities are also available.
Spokane Valley says the app encourages potential customers to shop, play, dine and stay by maximizing information.
Businesses who don't want to wait to be contacted in order to share their information can call the city directly to set up an appointment at (509) 720-5038.
Anyone who wants to add the app on their phone only needs to search “Spokane Valley” from the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app will be updated on a regular basis and community members are invited to share their feedback and suggestions for improvements and usability by contacting app coordinator John Whitehead at (509) 720-5111 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
