You have a chance to see what's going on inside the walls of 3 Central Valley School District schools, this fall.
The district is hosting 3 Community Connections events designed to educate business leaders, elected officials, parents and interested residents about CV schools.
Each school will highlight key programs and innovative strategies used to support student achievement. Presentations will feature students and teachers with a focus on career and college readiness. All Community Connections events are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m., at the following:
· October 29 - McDonald Elementary (1512 S. McDonald Road)– Impact of Smaller First Grade Class Size & Full Day Kindergarten on Student Learning; Musical performances
· November 6 – Bowdish Middle School (2109 S. Skipworth Road) –Safety & School Culture; Common Core State Standards & Sample Lessons
· November 8 – Summit School (612 S. McDonald Road) –Expeditionary Learning
“We are looking forward to reporting our progress toward meeting the goals of the district’s Strategic Plan through our 2013 District Report Card,” said superintendent Ben Small. “Each Community Connections event will include a short overview of the Report Card followed by school presentations involving students and teachers, each designed to create an opportunity for dialogue with our community.”
